How To Build Sawhorses

by on Nov 23, 2010

Next time you see sawhorses in a shop, don’t take them for granted. It takes more than a little effort to build a pair if you’ve never done it before. I’ve tried the store-bought kind. They don’t hold a candle to custom sized, good old fashioned handmade wooden sawhorses.  Even if you’re just dabbling in some carpentry projects, you need a good pair of these handy helpers. This is my first attempt at constructing these. Guess what? I’ve got 11 more to build. By the time I get done, they may be fabric covered or ModPodged with jazzy wallpaper. A person is explaining that how to build sawhorses. See the full tutorial right here at Indystar.com.

These have a nice little tray on top to keep furniture legs from slipping off, and a little shelf down below to hold upholstery tools. Custom design your own to suit your needs.
