Reupholster a Scroll Arm Bench

by on Oct 11, 2010

A scroll arm bench is a scarier looking reupholstery challenge than it turns out to be.   Eliana from Refinish It All found that out after she rolled up her sleeves and took care of business. Her one tip, with which I completely agree, is to not wait too long after tearing a piece down to reupholster it. One’s mind tends to forget the assembly order. Hint: Always take photographs of the tear down process  See her fresh, finished makeover and how she accomplished welt cord without a sewing machine. A scroll arm bench has a black and white zebra print upholstery with black legs.

When you read about the full project, you’ll see how resourceful Eliana was to get this project completed. As most all upholstery projects require a little improvisation, she rose to the occasion. Great job Eliana.

Uh huh, I’m loving those black lacquered legs.

Read all about it right here.
