Fabric Scrap Upholstered Headboard

created at: 2009-09-10

There's patchwork, and then there's PATCHWORK. I was relieved to find this photo over on Decor8 so I can cross it off of my 'to do' list of ideas. A cursory assessment indicates that all you need to for this smart, upholstered headboard is

plywood

foam

scrap fabrics

sewing machine

staple gun

and a couple of covered button kits

plus tools to build the wooden frame

Simple, resourceful and aesthetically delightful.

Thank you for any tips or instructions you can send my way...I have shirts of my recently deceased father that I was going to sew something with.. I absolutely love this idea.
