Once you have your cake stands & serving pieces, vintage linen napkins, tea lights with votives and music all ready, here are a few more tips to make this a breeze for you.
When the thought hits of having people come by for drinks after work, you think 'when will I turbo scrub my entire home?' Well, you might not. If that's the case, no worries, focus on 3 key spots.
#1- The entryway. It's the first thing people see, so keep it clean, clutter-free, and easy to figure out where guests can put their coats, boots and bags. I love this reused tray filled with gravel as a boot bank.
#2- The restroom is a place often overlooked by the host, but always seen and inspected carefully by guests. Keep it clean and add a couple of tea lights and a vintage linen hand towel.
#3-The hang-out space - be it the living room or the kitchen - the room where guests congregate and spend time should be given a good once-over. De-clutter and give the pillows a good fluff and you are ready to relax with your pals.
Here are two Decor It Yourself videos to watch to make your own 3-tiered serving tray and to make your own napkins and table settings. Take it to the next level by embroidering your family initial and enjoy your fall entertaining!
