A Dark Kitchen Gets A Light Makeover

It's crazy what a difference a lighter color scheme can make, isn't it? The other major change was the removal of the upper cabinets. The open shelving takes away that feeling of heaviness that existed before, and creates a spot to display artwork, plants and glassware. So where did the fridge in the before photo, get moved to?

Yes, good point Josh - sometimes open shelving can be difficult to deal with... but if you're an organized person, it can really be an amazing strategy to open up a space.

What an amazing improvement.  The space is now light-filled and inviting, and if you can handle the open shelves (some people lead more cluttered lives) it really makes a difference in opening up the space.
