In my mind, pinecones signal the transition from fall into winter, making them the perfect decorative element for your home this time of year. One quick note about pinecones before we get started: if you are collecting them outside, be sure to bake them in the oven in a foil-lined baking sheet for about 30 minutes at 250 degrees. Keep a close eye on them while they’re in the oven. This will dry up any sap or bugs that may have hitchhiked inside.
