Who's on your naughty list this year? An incorrigible nephew? Your boss? Whoever gets the distinction, here's a little something to tuck into their stockings: Snowman Poop.

The supplies:

  • small plastic, zippy bag (mine were 2" x 3 5/16", which I found in the beading aisle of my craft store
  • card stock--color of choice (I used blue)
  • card stock--white
  • guillotine cutter or scissors
  • pom poms of the appropriate size (mine were 10mm, which I bought at the craft store as well)
  • computer printer (optional, but neat)
  • sticky-back tape or glue
  • embellishments, if desired (I used a tiny snowflake stamp and blue stamp pad that matched my card stock and Stickles in Diamond)

Step 1:

Cut colored card stock to width of bag and about 2" to 3" long. Score at center and fold in half.

Step 2:

Print out or write sentiment on card stock and cut to size, making it about 1/8" shorter all around than your folded card stock. Embellish as desired.

Step 3:

Fill bag with pompoms and zip shut.

Step 4:

Slip top of baggie into folded card and staple shut.

Step 5:

Glue sentiment into place and present to your favorite naughty person. (Oh, yeah, even though the package isn't intended to be opened--it's just a joke, after all--this item is not really for little human or furry children, as it has small parts.)

Amy, as are most Christmas cards, I'm afraid. Even the ones that are handmade. Anyway, I hope my nephew gets a laugh out of it. If it does, it was totally worth my time.

Hi DIY Maven, I understand what you are saying here regarding coal... But is it worth the joke?  It would be a much better gift, even if it's just a stocking-stuffer joke item, to have some kind of candy or marshmallows as Sharon suggested or something slightly more substantial involved.

It could have been fancy white powdered cookies in a bigger bag as a holiday party hostess gift.

Unfortunately, this item as pictured will end up tossed into the garbage unopened.

disappointed--sorry you feel that way. I've never seen a how-to for litter box cake or ghost poop. (I'm assuming that last one is invisible?) As far as as sparing you further nausea, there's only 4 days left of the 12 Days of Craftsmas, so it'll be over soon!

Oh, please no.  What's next, litter box cake?  Can we please ixnay on the granny crafts?  Ig et ten tons of "ghost poop," "snowman poop," etc ad nauseum.

Hey Amy. Pompoms are on par with coal, whereas something eatable would be considered a treat, and people on the naughty list really shouldn't be getting treats. They have been naughty, after all! ;)

I think the marshmallows are a much better idea, Sharon!

I don't really understand the purpose of giving someone pom poms as a gift.

Sharon--I was thinking white jelly beans as an alternative. :)

I never thought of the pom poms! I did this last year using mini marshmallows.
