Recently, Jessica from Running with Scissors was the creative guest on U-Create, contributing a tutorial for this beautiful bird pillow. She was inspired by some quite expensive alternatives that clock in at $125 to $135 a pop. Jessica’s DIY alternative would set us back about a SIXTH of that. Anyhoo, here is what she used:
- a 16″ x 16″ pillow form (Jessica found hers at a yard sale for a dollar!)
- 1/2 yard main fabric
- scraps for applique leaves
- freezer paper or printable freezer paper
- fabric paint
- 1/2 yard decorative trim
