Although I don’t have an iPad, I’ve done my share of lusting over one. And if I DID have one, I would treat it kindly and whisper sweet nothings into its speaker. I’d also dress it in a protective, dapper sleeve when I wasn’t fondling it. Re-Nest shows us a way to make a great outfit for our (future) iPads using an old sweater and pillowcase, both of which are staples at secondhand shops and rummage sales everywhere. Your entire supply list is as follows:
- a sweater (Re-Nest suggests 100% wool)
- scissors
- straight pins
- sewing machine
- measuring tape
- thread
- iPad for sizing OR the iPad’s measurements (The Apple Store says it measures 9.65″h x 7.47″w x .5″d)
- button for closure, optional
- cord/shoelace for closure, optional
- straight pin, optional
