Tord Boontije’s ‘lyrical reinterpretation of the chandelier’ consists of a metal structure (I’m guessing the globe part–with tail–in the middle that houses the bulb) that is wrapped in crocheted cotton, organza, silk and fabric flowers. Call me crazy, but I think this could be reasonably replicated. AND for a fraction of the cost of the original which clocks in at just under 5 grand. *gulp* Where would we start? With a white paper lantern?
Oh, and it comes in a black version too. Read more about both chandeliers at YLiving. Via.
