How to Transform Holiday Tins

by on Mar 31, 2009

If you’re like me, you have a habit of saving up holiday tins. You figure you’ll use them for storage or maybe you’ll use them next holiday season to transport baked items to the in-laws. Whatever reason, you’ve got a stack of them someplace. However, after seeing Diane’s tutorial over on Craftstylish, you’ll want to rescue those tins from their isolation. Say goodbye to the reindeer and snowmen and hello to stylish containers!

To make them, you’ll need:

  • tins
  • painter’s tape
  • fine-point Sharpie
  • lightweight wrapping paper
  • Mod Podge, matte finish
  • scissors
  • paper cutter, optional
  • sponge brush
  • x-acto knife
  • clear acrylic sealer, optional
  • embellishments like bias tape, ribbon or buttons
  • craft glue

To see Diane’s tutorial, head on over to Craftstylish.
