Roundup: 10 Memorable Room Makeovers for Under $1000

by on Apr 8, 2015

The edict for this roundup was 10 room makeovers for under $1,000. I’m happy to say that most of these do-overs are way under that price point. One actually clocked in at under $25! So here goes…ten of our most memorable budget room makeovers.

Diane at In My Own Style tricked out her purple bathroom for $265. Here’s what it looked like before:

Five hundred bucks transformed Edgaroso’s once grandmother-y kitchen. Before:

This next kitchen redo wasn’t without controversy, which is something we LOVE here at Curbly, if truth be told. (Well, at least I love it.) Here it is before it was made over for $1000.

Its ‘after’ generated comments from “it looks nice” to “it looks cheap.” What do you think?

Another $1000 budget, but this time the room is a tiny bathroom. Before it was Pepto pink.

After, it’s fit for a photo shoot:

This $500 master bath makeover had absolutely NO personality “before.”

We certainly can’t say that about its “after.”

Ursula spent a fraction of that ($83, to be precise) on her Jack & Jill bathroom makeover. Here it is before:

Remember that “under $25 makeover” I mentioned earlier? The room in question is a bathroom and the clever mind behind it is Gloria. Here is what she had to work with:

And here is the lovely transformation:

Moving into the bedroom, we see this little girl’s space, which her mother transformed for less than $100:

After that tiny budget and a bunch of elbow grease, it looks like this:

Kate’s home office makeover budget clocked in just under $1000.

Its after, however, looks like a million bucks:

For a schmeasily $50 ($49.44 to be exact) it now looks like it could be featured in an interior design mag.
