Before and After: Knock-Out Kitchen Makevoer

This makeover is quite the head-scratcher.  It looks so different after, it could be a picture of some other space altogether. (The only thing that looks familiar is the window.) That’s because celebrity designer Candice Olsen not only made over the kitchen, she also knocked out two of its walls, opening it up to the adjacent living and dining rooms. The new kitchen space blends seamlessly with its surroundings, thanks to a built-in refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher. Also clever was the choice to make the upper cabinets the same color as the pillar and etc, as they ‘disappear’, making the space look less ‘kitchen-y.’

The color palette for the wide open space is tan, white, warm gray and ebony. For much more information about the makeover, visit this page at Star Tribune.

i am a great fan odf Candice, usually, but this one..nah. there was nothing wrong with the old kitchen.and you certainly DONT put a STOVE near a WINDOW.do you like leaning over a stove, trying to clean grease off a window?and where is the range hood? you could have made a difference with just paint, and not rearranging appliances,or knocking down walls.
