Sue and Tom had a 'problem' living room. A built-in, a fireplace, and too many doors were three issues that had to be taken into account when placing furniture. Throw into that a baby grand piano that really didn't have a good 'spot' and dated blue furniture and home stylist Sabrina Soto had her work cut out for her. Especially considering the makeover had to be completed in 24 hours, but Sabrina was up to the task. Take a look:

The three painfully traditional chairs were replaced by two neutral, and more contemporary, alternatives. The love seat was removed and the old blue sofa was updated with a wheat-colored slipcover. As for the baby grand, that found a less unobtrusive spot--as far as traffic flow is concerned--next to the window. And to tone down those stark walls, Sabrina had them coated with Benjamin Moore. So, there you have it, from stale to refreshing in one day. For more pictures of the makeover, head on over to Good Housekeeping.
