This time of year the landscape can be summed up in three colors where I live: gray, brown and white. So, when I saw enpundit's roundup of the 8 most colorful cities on earth, I channelled my inner Liz Lemon and said, "I want to go to there."

Oh I bet it is Anony! Rather like watching an old movie without color, I would think.

I live in Italy, in liguria (region where is located Manarola, a little "pimped" in the picture above)... Actually a lot of (small, historic)  seacoast town from near france up to Genoa are colored that way... It is very strange for me, being born there, look at other places where houses are all the same pale grey/white :)

Well I have to admit if there's just one or two houses in a neighborhood, like the electric blue one, it stands out like a sore thumb rather than looking fun. But if the pumpkin color still "fits" in then I think that's neat. I'm guessing it's a true pumpkin color and not a bright halloween orange?

DM...There is a house about a mile from my house that I drive by frequently. It's a very weird electric blue. Not my fave. On the other hand, one of my neighbors painted their house a pumpkin color. I wasn't too sure when they started the project, but, with white trim and shutters, it looks great.

Absolutely beautiful! Why are American's so afraid of color? Wouldn't it be fun to be builder and start a neighborhood where the covenant didn't allow any boring beige or brown painted houses? Where they all had to colors of the rainbow? Those types of colorful neighborhoods went out the window with the Victorian age. So very sad really.
