How to Make an Origami Baseball Mitt

To honor this most holy of holy days, let us join together in the creation of a symbol of our joy: the baseball mitt.

What You’ll Need

Opened newspaper lying on top of wood table.

A section of newspaper. (I’d suggest the sports section.)

Optional: a Sharpie

What You’ll Do

Fold 1/4 of the way in as shown below.

Newspaper is folded for the preparation of origami craft.

Fold corners to center.

Fold corners to center, again.

Newspaper is folded to make origami craft.

Turn over.

Fold up bottom about 2 inches three times.

Fold tip down and tuck into band.

Fold side as shown, tucking it into tip just folded down. Repeat on the other side.

Turn mitt over and add stitching with Sharpie to make mitt look ‘authentic’. Insert hand.
