How to Turn a Door Into a Natural Fiber Head Board

Carmel loved the look of Pottery Barn and West Elm’s natural fiber head boards, but she did not love their prices. Much as all good DIYers, she decided to make her own out of an old door, manila rope (that she found at Home Depot) and a glue gun. The results are quite remarkable and at a total cost of $130, it cost about 1/3 the price as the PB item. If you’d like to try such a project, visit Our Fifth House for all the detail, including a caveat about natural rope in general and its smell in particular.
