With the start of the new season, it seems like simple Fall decorating ideas are starting to pop up all over. And it seems like cold weather and felt sort of mesh together, especially in projects like this simple fall garland. I've got a garland like this hanging over my mirror in our family room, and although it is the only touch of fall decorating I've done, it seems to set the tone in a really simple, subtle way. Elsie at A Beautiful Mess uses an eco-friendly felt (made of wool and viscose- not your usual craft felt) and embroidery floss for the garland above, and switches to yarn for the garland below. No sewing machine required for this project.
How do you decorate for Fall? If you want to try a leaf garland, Elsie has a quick tutorial on her blog here.
