I’ve always loved Butcher Block countertops, and I try to think that if I had them, maybe I’d chop more veggies or something. Wishful thinking, I know. But when I saw these IKEA countertops transformed, I fell more in love and decided maybe I’ll just stick to cutting boards for my carrots.
Erin of Stillwater Story wanted to go with a natural product for her countertops, and when she realized IKEA sold Butcher Block for cheap, she knew she had the perfect product. However, the natural wood color wasn’t congruent with the rest of their home, so she went to work making those countertops more lovely with plenty of elbow grease and a walnut stain.
