Holy horror!  This dilapidated row house looks like it was infested with an entire host of, I don't know, crack heads?  Feral cats?  A possessed goat or two?  I'm going to go with "all of the above" because these pre-renovation photos are SCARY.

WHAT!  Yes, this is the same space.  Can you even believe it??  The talented duo behind D.C.-based design studio Adams & Duke transformed this row house beyond recognition into a thing of classic Colonial-style splendor.  Bravo!  Bravo indeed.

Breath taking!  What vision!

Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for taking the time to comment.  This makeover is truly extraordinary and I'm glad you appreciate it!  As you can tell, I enjoy a good dose of hyperbole (perhaps to a fault).  Although meant as an obvious exaggeration, I understand that my remarks could be read as insensitive.  I apologize for any offense caused, as that certainly wasn't my intention.

Again, I appreciate your thoughtful comment and am happy that you enjoyed this renovation!

Beautiful renovation but I thought the remarks about crack heads and feral cats to be offensive.  It was clearly a home (photo of children on wall) to someone who for age or health or economic reasons couldn't keep ahead of the decay.  Mocking someone else's state is as ugly as it gets.  The photos speak for themselves; the narrative was completely unnecessary.

That is truly stunning.

Colleen -- They MUST be! Also, where can I get one of those?? ;)

Surely they're in possession of magic wands. This is unbelieveable.

Wow, what an amazing make over. In the before exterior picture it looks as though the only things holding it up are the homes on either side of it. Sad how things get neglected like that. Not sure I could live there if I knew what it came from though. Ewwww!

Ha, thanks Davy! :)

Jill - No doubt. I'm not sure I would have been confident in the structural integrity either (that bathroom pic is terrifying)!

Those must have been some seriously good bones that saved it from the wrecking ball!

that. is. amazing! and lol @ that introduction.

That is pure magic!!!

Sara - My thoughts exactly! haha

I KNOW..! It's  c r a z y  that this is even the same house.

Ummmm....that is freaking amazing!!!
