Stencils, linen, and a good quote might be the ultimate throw pillow trifecta!

Amanda Wright, the lovely blogger and designer behind Wit & Whistle, created this typographic stencil pillow after spotting a similar (and expensive) design on Vivaterra. Not thrilled with the price or the quote, she decided to make her own version--and share the process and materials with fellow DIY-minded decor lovers. Thanks, Amanda!

To make your own, here's what you'll need:

a blank pillow cover (buy or make your own!)
cardboard
pencil
letter stencil
fabric marker
your favorite quote*

i love this idea! im thinking of making a pillow with the quote "i'm not egotistical, i just love how awesome i am". or perhaps "thats right mr. giraffe, get all the marmalade"
