Along with tin robots, I have a vintage camera collection (or had--I've given many of them away to people who love them even more). I would have never, ever in a million years thought it was possible to turn them into nightlights, though. I mean, how brilliant is that??
Vintage cameras of all kinds are readily accessible, through thrift stores and garage or estate sales, so finding one you'd like to use for this project should be pretty easy. Maybe choose one that's a bit more beat up or no longer functions properly. After that, Instructables user Jayfish says it's a pretty simple process to transform them into night lights! Check out how right here.
If you'd rather not mess around with wiring an old camera, Jayfish has an Etsy shop where you can purchase ones ready to go! (Also, check out this Flickr set to see more varieties of camera nightlights, they're pretty cool.)
