Anon, I hate paint on beautiful antique wood more than anyone, but that dresser was meant to have a pop feel and is clearly made of formica.

I liked it before but i bet upon closer inspection that it was laminate, in which case i dont think of it as a crime against MCM furntiture. I think she did a pretty good job. Besides, it clearly makes her happy and thats whats important.

Simply heartbreaking what she did to that adorable dresser.

Gorgeous! Got to admit, I'm very pro painted furniture though. Even did a tutorial on my blog.
