Before & After: A Colorful Painted Piano Makeover!

A DIYer's best friend may well be a bucket of paint and a good brush.  From dressers to kitchen cabinets and even silverware, just about anything can be improved or given a new lease on life with a fresh coat of paint... even musical instruments!

Artist and blogger Jill Denton has been transforming her front living room into a colorful retreat, but the crowning jewel is this hand-painted piano!  This makeover comes as a result of years of wishing and dreaming - and one solid week of sweat, paint, and drying time.  The result is a cheerful and quirky piece that perfectly complements Jill's style and space.  (I particularly love the floral fabric detail.)  Great job, Jill!

So let's hear it, Curbliers: would you paint a piano?  What color?  Share your thoughts below!

I'm looking forward to doing this very thing this week, in Tallahassee, FL as we take part in a campaign to Paint the Town Pink! My question is about the cut outs on the front board of the piano. We're they already there?

Thank you so much for featuring my piano makeover!  The time it took was SO worth it.  DO IT-- PAINT YOUR PIANO!
