I'm always a sucker for a good makeover (home related or not), so it's safe to say that this basement renovation is blowing my mind!

I've been following this renovation from Nicole Balch, a talented designer and big-deal blogger (Making It Lovely, anyone?), since she first unveiled the "before" photos in November.  Fast forward a few months (and what I can only imagine were more than a few late nights) and you have what you see before you: a total basement renovation complete with art on the walls.

I've never renovated a home before, but completing something of this scale in a single Winter seems like a big feat, am I right?  One of the features I love most is the octagon-shaped tile used in the bathroom and laundry room.  It's such a fun, playful detail that adds a lot of personality to the space!

To read about the whole process, including fantastic design boards and a break down of everything that went into it (and more photos, of course), check out Making It Lovely!

Beautiful re-do. Thanks for shareing it with us. EJ

I really like those tiles too, there vintage and modern all at the same time. EJ

Thanks for sharing my basement on Curbly! Looking back at that before picture… yikes. I'm so glad we're waaaay past that!

This is exactly what my garage looks like! Remodeling and getting rid of all of our personal items seems like the task of a life time for me. Here's for hoping my garage will someday hold something else other than chilhood games and metal scraps!
