Trey from A Beautiful Mess made this simple, corner desk unit after a quick trip to the hardware store. What do you think?

Would you consider making one of these corner desks for your home office? Or is it too 'unfinished' feeling for you? I personally love it, but I am curious to know what you think about the finished project.

I like the corner aspect. The finish is easy enough to taylor to your own preference, but it's a tad too rough and ready for my liking. However, the straps could be positioned in such a way as to divide the work area. So a fixed area for laptop and associated gubbins, then an area for writing or sketching (we remember such prosaic acticvities) etc etc. Excellent work though. Right off to look at the corners of my house.

I think if you stained and poly-ed the boards, it could be awesome...but those strips of...flashing?...could be a problem with your work surface.
