I don't know about you, but if I walked into this kitchen, I would assume I was looking at the after. Everything looks good already. There is lots of light, nice cabinets and appliances; but this was only the beginning.

In the 'during' phase, you'll notice that the floors have been changed out, which I think makes a big difference, actually. The room feels even more open and bright, without the dark vinyl tile. The floor that you are seeing in this phase is a white, vinyl coating.

This latest makeover from Nina is more of a transformation. The cabinets, pulls, and countertops are completely different, the flooring has been updated once again, and the appliances have been camouflaged behind built-ins. Another beautiful look.

OMG! I have to agree with everyone else - thought it looked nicer to start with. I loved the cabinets - they were so modern and gorgeous! I can't believe she painted over them! Yes, the floors are nicer, but I am shaking my head with almost everyone else here on what she was thinking.... I guess that's why everyone is different and everyone has different taste. She has to live there, so I guess as long as she is happy with it, that's all that matters in the end.

If you were to replace the backslash on the "after" with something more interesting/colorful/textural/luscious it would look great. But that backsplash with the white cabinets looks like a quick rental turnaround or something. It doesn't look special like "during" does, it looks cheap.

The before. The wood cabinets and tile give the kitchen a warm, inviting feel. All white? Cold, institutional, and a pain to keep clean. Especially if you cook curry at least weekly.

Oh my god, no!!! The kitchen was beautiful before and during, what did she do???? Shakes head, cries a little.

This is a Kitchen make over done on a small budget this is a minimalist approach to a small space, this gives a feeling of light and airyness.

I'm with you, Andy. Cabinets don't ALWAYS have to be white. She should have stopped at the during. The after is so sterile and boring.

I like the during floor, but the before is beautiful and the after is pretty nondescript. Off to pin the before...

I think it looks worse after....this all white thing is a fad that is going to go away sooner than later. It had nice contrast earlier with the wood.....aaah why do people do this to their kitchens??
