Victoria, who writes one of my favorite blogs called A Subtle Revelry, dyed this (now) colorful table linen with little more than a few onions and beets! How cool is that? Now my mind is racing with other vegetables this dye DIY would work with.

You can use foods to dye eggs for easter as well. Or just for fun at other times of the year when you're boiling them for breakfast.

Red onions in the boiling water makes brown-red eggs.

Red cabbage makes red eggs and beets also make red/purple eggs.

This is one of the most creative ideas..I have ever seen....dying a fabric with veggies? Gosh I've got to try it....Thanks for sharing it....
