5 Blogs to Follow for Awesome Room Makeovers

by on Jun 24, 2014

On this edition of Blogs to Follow, I’m sharing five of my favorite blogs for room makeover inspiration. Before and afters are pretty popular here on Curbly and these five blogs are definitely amongst the best that I know of for inspiration in that department. Ready to see what five blogs made the cut?

Here are five blogs to follow for before and after room makeovers.

1. Emily Henderson: You probably already know Emily’s blog from the rooms she styled and helped makeover in the Curbly house (dining room, master bedroom, and sunroom), but if you aren’t familiar with her work already, you should definitely check out her blog. It is filled with dramatic room makeovers. She is one of my favorite stylists.

2. Smitten Studio: Sarah Sherman Samuel, the editor of Smitten Studio, has an amazing eye for mid-century pieces. Her hip, eclectic style for room makeovers gets me every time.

3. Yellow Brick House: This blog follows Kim and Scott as they fix up their Chicago house, and also catalogs their previous home, a 675 square foot condo, right down the street from their new house.

Favorite Makeover: Old condo Living Room

"White Kitchen with dinnings and wall frames."Young House Love

4. Young House Love: You may know this couple, Sherry and John, from their popular book by the same name. They have made room renovating into a family business, DIYing every room in the last three houses they’ve lived in (and a show house). Now, that’s a whole lot of makeovers!

5. Manhattan Nest: Freelance interior decorator, Daniel Kanter, bought an old fixer-upper in New York, with his fiancé Max, back in 2013. Manhattan Nest is where Daniel shares the progress, as they renovate this old Kingston home.

Favorite Makeover: This kitchen, which has since been updated even more here
