Before and After: Drab 1950s Kitchen to Modern Farmhouse Feel

created at: 07/11/2012
I love finding before and afters that are such a huge transformation, you can hardly tell it is the same space. This kitchen makeover is going to have you doing a double take.

The Oshawa, Ontario home of Michael and Sara Penney received a top to bottom makeover from the new owners. Every room has been redone, but my favorite transformation is the kitchen, with sleek subway tiles, a pale green backdrop, and honeycomb tile flooring.

Hi Marnie. I'm sure there are tons of resources for that tile, but here's a link I found that might help: http://www.mosaictilestone.com/Hexagon-Mosaic-s/39.htm

I love the honeycomb tile flooring! I am wondering where can I find them?

Unbelievable transformation! Just stumbled across this - I like the contrast between the farmyard/rustic colours and the metallic oven

Thanks for the comments everyone. Really glad to hear that you like Michael's makeover so much. He and his wife did a great job (with the entire house).
