Air Conditioning Unit in a Flood? Here's What to Do

By: Bhartzer Aug 25, 2008

Service Experts has a great blog post today about what to do with a flooded AC unit. If your hvac equipment is ever flooded out (like our unfortunate friends in the Florida area), then there are some steps that you need to take to make sure that you don't have any problems; it can be a real safety issue.

In particular, flood water and heavy electrical equipment, especially air conditioners, are a very serious safety hazard. So, it's best to err on the side of personal safety when performing flood clean-up.

Make sure that you turn off the electrical equipment first and then unplug it and dry it out.

Then, you'll want to change your filters.
