I'm Bruce. I'm a single guy in my thirties who works as the operations manager for a growing industrial supply company. Computers occupy a lot of my time, as do cameras, and--soon enough--stained glass. I'm also a freelance graphic designer who has had brief brushes with national exposure.Casa Hartman is a 1981-vintage "Contemporary Lodge" (my coinage). Really, it's just a little cookie-cutter house in a very well established, yet small development. It has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, an eat in kitchen, and more decks than any house this size has a right to under normal considerations (that includes the one I just added). The house sits on a small wooded lot, and the view off the back deck is what sold me. Even with only a quarter-acre to call my own, the house feels like it's tucked out of the way. During the spring and summer, you can hardly see the neighbors' houses.I'm not especially handy, but I manage not to make too many mistakes. So far the projects have been relatively straight forward and I have reinforcements to call for when things get beyond my comfort zone. I'm looking forward to sharing some of my insights and learning a bunch more from everyone here at Curbly.
