I'm 28 and have been living in the Atlanta area for 3 years now. I've been playing with our 1979 house ever since...mostly painting, though my husband has done a lot more with furniture. We have a lot of diy projects on our list that we're hoping to accomplish this year.

I have a room that is a guest room/office/craft space. I am wanting to display as well as create storage solutions through shelving in the room. What are your thoughts on a wrap around shelf 12 - 16 inches from the ceiling? What is your advice in regards to putting shelves above a desk?
