Orange Shines Bright for 2008 and 2009

One of my favorite things about decorating is color, and I'm excited that one of my favorites, the color orange, will still be a hot color for 2009. Orange has been a favored color in home decor for over five years. I remember teaching a Color Theory class in May 2003, and three of the industry magazines I use for class all had orange colored products on their covers. This spring I was flipping through industry magazines, and there was Orange, front and center for yet another year.
For those who are interested, here's a bit of color trivia about Orange:
- It's a Happy Color.
- It's the color most often picked by creative people (artists, actors, writers).
- Represents curiosity, creativity and fascination.
When using Orange in your decor, use it sparingly as it has high visibility. I like to add Orange to a room setting via accessories like pillows, vases, throws and smal objects.
