Artist Terrence Payne has long been documenting the lives of his peers with his colorful and critical portraits. His newest body of work looks off to the distance as he and those around him reconsider the resolutions of young adulthood and try to implement these assumptions as they approach the gray and blurry lines of their unfolding maturity. His rare wit and unusual perspectives offer unique glimpses into peoples live which generally go unnoticed. Terrence Payne has lived and worked in the Minneapolis area for the past ten years, building a body of unique and thought provoking work while exhibiting at galleries and universities throughout the midwest. His work can be found in private, corporate and collegiate collections throughout the united states. Terrence founded Roslaux gallery four years ago to give local emerging and mid career artists an opportunity to exhibit their work in an environment that would bring them high visibility while nurturing their artistic callings without the limitations imposed by many commercial galleries.
