Their creator, Molly at The Purl Bee says that you can 'You can create your own blizzard in a snap!' A pretty felt blizzard sounds lovely and way better than the real kind that stops you wearing your brand new boots and makes your nose do that dribbly snot thing.

Making pictorial snowflakes

These snowflake designs are quite remarkable. If you examine them closely, you'll see pictures in them. Easy to make out are the seahorses and fish pictured above. Also easy to spot are these hearts, but note the 'love border'.

How to make star garland out of plastic bottles.

Seriously, who would have imagined these stars started out as plastic bottle bottoms?? And to make this project even better, it's super easy to do!

To make a garland consisting of 5 stars & 3 snowflakes, you'll need:

  • 8 plastic bottles
  • a scissors
  • a needle or small hole punch
  • string
  • clear beads
