A Vogue Dress, via Ikea.

By Chrisjob

ikea-dress.jpgThey're sturdy, bold, and always under $10.00. And though intended for upholstery, Ikea fabrics can be entirely wearable.

From CraftyCrafty:

"I'm always impressed by DIY-ers who choose less obvious fabrics to make up their patterns (remember the shower curtain dress?) so I was instantly drawn to this delightful dress that Chic Steals made up from a Vogue pattern using Ikea's Patricia fabric. Ikea's a good place to find bold, clean and eyecatching » READ MORE

Perfect Pattern Fabric

By DIY Maven

I'm not sure what I would make out of this fabric, but I adore it nonetheless. From Alexander Henry, Perfect Pattern is available in tea & red and pink. The 100% cotton fabric measures 44/45" wide and comes in at a very reasonable $8.95 a yard. From Pink Chalk Fabrics.

Creating Patterned Fabric with Buttons

By DIY Maven

created on: 07/31/08

I’ve been in the process of redecorating our bedroom for the past 4 months or so. Why is it taking so long? I sort of boxed myself in a corner with color. Caramel and white are not colors you find together at the fabric store » READ MORE

How To Make a Hand Drawn Repeated Pattern.

By Chrisjob

Julia Rothman shares ideas for making a tile-able design, even out of quite complex drawing with lions and vines!

First, draw your pattern on the middle of the page. Then cut the drawing in half, and tape the blank sides together. Repeat by cutting in half horizontally, and then tape. Fill in the open space with art, and you're on your way.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. This is the stuff that makes me drool.
