A Very Modern Nativity Set.
By Chrisjob'Member all those times you've been curled up under a blanket, fire a-rolling with a warm mug of egg nog in your hand, and you look at your mantle, and remark... "I think the Holy Family could use more Helvetica."

Both beautiful and hilarious, these sets are handmade in Germany by Oliver Fabel. Nothing says Merry Christmas like minimalism.

By DIY Maven
Shapely yet minimal in appearance, Neptune’s 'Wind' corner tub that can be equipped with whirlpool capacity. Although perfect for small spaces, at 60" x 36" x 20" is still incredibly roomy and, starting at $1200, it’s not crazy expensive either. Via.
Minimalist Bedside Radio
By DIY Maven
MWT is having an issue with his bedside alarmclock radio. Only one station comes in and it isn’t one we want to hear at 6:30 in the morning. So, we’re shopping for a new one. When I spotted The Hidden Radio I thought I might have found a replacement. The Round Around Clock
By DIY Maven
Although it has the shape of a hockey puck, it's actually a clock. The dial rotates while the red wire indicates the time. Again, it’s not for the obsessive compulsive in that the exact time is a guess. But still...it’s very cool. From Lexicon ($45); via Gizmodo.
Minimalist Outlets by Bocci.

a double bed
a sofa or corner sofa
a dinner table or sofa table

Gaiam’s Cork Lamp
By DIY Maven
New from Gaiam is their Cork Lamp, which is ‘crafted from sustainable eco-friendly materials’. The cork used ‘comes from the tree’s bark, which grows back, while the base is made from fast-growing rubberwood.’ The lamp ($198) is a perfect example of the minimalist nature of organic materials.
Couture Crapper

Kohler, those purveyors of everything plumbing, has added to its cadre of crappers the Purist Hatbox Toilet. Gone is the tank and added is a .2-hp pump to eliminate eliminations. I can appreciate the minimalist design of this john, but there are two things that prove bothersome.
First, I think it would confuse people. I imagine guests coming out of the bathroom asking, "Where do I ‘go’?" and me saying, "In the white garbage can-looking thing."
