The Lego Countertop.

By Chrisjob

Curbly has seen plenty of Lego art over the years, perhaps some lego furniture, but fundamental built-in domestic structures? It's a first in my estimation...

"The Munchausen Lego Kitchen is based around an Ikea island that has been outifftted with more than 20,000 Lego pieces. Lego Does Frank Lloyd Wright

By lilybee

Lego's architecture series is perfect for those of us who had trouble giving up the blocks as kids. The collection now includes the Guggenheim in all it's crazy-shaped glory (it looks particularly sci-fi in Lego).

created at: 2009-07-27

Falling Water is also in the range, (though not available yet) and it has me cooing like a lovestruck pigeon (it's like a perfect storm of awesome » READ MORE

Today's Inauguration...in LEGO

By DIY Maven

If you haven't yet seen it, Legoland's reproduction of today's inauguration is no less than remarkable. From the throng of people, to a sobbing Bush 43* and an army of Porta-Potties, nothing is forgotten. Although, I wonder if they've updated it to depict Cheney in a wheelchair? » READ MORE

How To: Make Your Own Gummy Candy.

By Chrisjob

"Bears and worms aren't very similar, until you think....gummy." -Demetri Martin, These Are Jokes

Yeah, but bears and worms are SO 1922...and 1981.

So, instead, make your own. SFHandyMan has provided a great detailed instructable on creating your own candies out of a DIY silicon mold. He's chosen Legos as his design, and its remarkable how finely sculpted the results are. The details are more defined than in commercial candies!

Repairing Walls with LEGO?

By DIY Maven

Apparently, LEGO have been used to repair crumbling walls in Bocchignano, Italy, a village near Rome. The ‘repair work’ was part of the ‘20 Eventi’ project. Not sure if LEGO are the appropriate addition to a centuries old building? Me either, but it does make one wonder how cool they might look as a decorative element on an interior corner or two. LunaBlocks: LEGO-like furniture for the rest of us

By Doug Aamoth

created on: 06/11/08

The idea of sitting on LEGOs seems like a good idea until you remember that everything's mostly made of hard plastic with little nubbins sticking out everywhere. So maybe these LunaBlocks, which only look like LEGOs but are actually made from squishy-yet-durable polypropylene, would be a better, more comfortable option.

Comfort doesn't come cheap, though, as you'll need to order them from France and EACH block costs between $20 and $55. Buildi » READ MORE

World's Tallest Lego Tower

By DIY Maven

Earlier this month the world's largest Lego tower was errected at Legoland Windsor. The nearly 100 feet tall structure consists of 500,000 bricks and was designed to mimic a Viking longboat mast. Why a longboat mast? To 'mark the opening of the theme park's new Land of the Vikings, of course. Via.
