Steampunk Pocket Knife

By Runeshai

created at: 2009-07-23

This is basically a DIY swiss army knife tutorial I found the other day, perusing Instructables.  It's pretty cool, uses pretty standard tools, but I iimagine once you've got one of them down, you'd be able to pull off some more decently, and get creative with the tools you included.  That could be a cool part - see what crazy tools you could add tp each one you made.

Wooden Magnetic Knife and Tool Holder.

By Chrisjob

Wooden Magnetic Knife Holder from Lie-Nielson ToolworksThe on-the-wall magnetic knife block is a safe and efficient way to keep your blades sharp and on hand. But metal surfaces can scratch your tools and look a bit industrial, if that doesn't suit your style.

Make Your Own Melon Brains.

By Chrisjob

It's always marvelous to see what can be created with a bit o' produce and a knife. This autumn, besides all the brilliant jack-o-lanterns (which are created, after all, with produce and a knife), the watermelon brain joins the flanks nicely. Click here for a full how-to from Scoochmaroo.

Day Six, Project Four: Remington Steal

By egellia
It is definitely raining today, and so I am definitely changing the sash on those other two windows as soon as Johnny is awake. And -- although it may be presumptuous of me to assume that, just because I think I know what I’m doing, nothing could possibly go wrong worth writing about (remember the pulleys, only yesterday?) -- I’d really like to get the writing part out of the way early because I’ve got some baseball to watch this afternoon. So I’ » READ MORE

Stocking the ultimate toolbox: every tool a homeowner will ever need

By alexrussell

Tools are the kinds of things you don't really know you're missing until you really need them. If you have a cordless drill, for example, why call a handyman to bolt your new bookcase to the wall?

The Adam Savage sculpture above is a bit of an exaggeration, but to be modest I've set out » READ MORE
