Ikea Hack: Rast Dresser Makeover.
By ChrisjobIkea's Rast dresser/side table/nightstand is a solid wood gem at only $39.99 USD. Lindsay from Penny People upped its knotty pine finish up a whole heap of notches with this simple update. This is what Ikea Hacks are all about...or, in this case, a thorough un-Ikea-ing.
"I was flipping through my latest issue of Style at Home Magazine last week I came across a set of side tables that were PERFECT for our bedroom. It had a little hint of glam, mi » READ MORE

Spray-Painting Wicker
By cathigsI need help! I have these cool Madras baskets around my home for storage and would love the free dresser I picked up to look the same. I don't have a picture of the dresser, but it's all white. The pictures below are pretty close.

It's going to have a glass counter put on top and be used in a room for storage/etc (I'm a makeup artist and don't always want my kit and products laying around). I want to change the nob handles too.

Curbly Video Podcast: Give Old, Shabby Furniture a Fresh, Modern Facelift.
By Chrisjob
My three-year-old niece just moved from the nursery to her first “big girl room,” and the only thing holding back her new space’s style is this worn dresser from the 1960’s. It’s in good shape, but the finish is tired, and there are several broken pieces that are simply unacceptable for a toddler’s room. So, as a birthday gift, I wanted to turn this tattered piece into a sparkling pop bureau that suits her personality perfectly.

Update to Dresser turned into Sideboard Buffet
By NimueFINAL UPDATE BELOW!
Several months ago I posted about changing our old and very outdated dresser into a buffet. I painted it black and it was much improved. My original post is here.
Over the last few days I've REALLY turned the dresser into a sideboard. I added 6 legs, new knobs with some of my Grandmother's costume jewelry attached, and a 2nd color of paint that matches one of the darker colors in my dining room curtains. I also used some » READ MORE

Old bureau dresser turned into Buffet - Sideboard
By Nimue*2 Photos have been added to the bottom of this post because I've updated the dresser turned sideboard AGAIN.
For years this old dresser has sat either in our guest room or the 'junk' room - too ugly to use when we had better options. It was inherited from my husband's Uncle so we've been hesitant to get rid of it. Turns out that with a little paint & new knobs it makes a nice buffet for the dining room. The extra drawer space really comes in » READ MORE
The perfect dresser addition: JBL On Time iPod/MP3 dock
By alexrussell
Alarm clocks have come a long way in the past twenty years, from the clamoring ringer to the smooth digital radio. With the advent of digital music players, the clock radio has evolved in kind. The JBL On Time is a great-looking MP3 dock and clock radio that blows away anything else you've ever had on your dresser, besides your lava lamp, of course. With the JBL price tag of about $250, I'd say it's about a toss up.
