The Disappearing Dining Room

By DIY Maven

To go along with the Disappearing Bathroom is this now-you-see it-now-you-don't dining room. By Ilja Oelschlagel, who calls it a 'Compact Kitchen', the design seems to rely on hinges and slides to perform its magic trick. Via.

Dining Table Round Up.

By Chrisjob

Everybody eats...

And it's more fun to eat on a table than over the sink, cause you know... you can have a drink and salt and pepper shakers and napkinsand stuff.

So, you might as well do it in style on a sharp lookin' dining table. And as if by ESP, Design*Sponge offers a marvellous dining table round up, with some 30 tables in all sorts of styles and price ranges.

Need advice?

By Bjorkfansoph

I need some advice for those in the know? So I hate the finish of my dining room table and chairs, my question is what finish shall I use once I sand everthing down? I'd like to go really dark, should I do this? If you all give advice, can you include a link for me to see the finish you are talking about? Thanks!! Oh, btw, the first photo was taken without a flash and the second one was with a flash.

By inkyR

I just quit my job and will begin academic reasearch on Jan. 8. I needed a space that was a little more open than the bedroom (where our computers are) and had more natural light. Our condo is small with only two small bedrooms (the kiddo occupies the second), and although I've been fully moved in for almost three weeks, most of my stuff is still in boxes or in the garage at my grandmother's house.

Our dining room is off the kitchen and opens in » READ MORE
