DIY: Sew Your Own Chevron Upholstery Fabric

Chevron striped fabrics are no where to be found, so after finding this awning-like  fabric, I cut and sewed my own.  Fabric cut on the bias is a blessing and a curse.  You need the stretch when sewing welt cord, but you don't need the stretch when sewing flat seams.

Create more space

Our bathroom has minimal space; by using the window and putting in shelves we created an area to place baskets to store our toiletries.

This project cost under $15, one shelf cut into 3 parts; 2 for window shelves, 1 for under sink + 12 small brackets with screws. We now have a place to put our bathroom things. Voila!
