Holiday How-To: Twine Snowmen.
By ChrisjobCreating the body of these rustic, yet surprisingly contemporary twine snowpeople is simple...Just stack up 3 spools of twine. But the fun and whimsy comes in with this cool trick: wrap some single ply twine around floral wire for some flexible details. The combo of the 2D and 3D elements is unique and somehow quite festive.
"Cut a few feet of twine and unravel it slightly. Squeeze a line of hot glue along an inch or so of the wire and wrap the twine around tightly so the wire is covered completely. Repeat along length of the wire. If you need a longer length, connect lengths of wire by overlapping the ends and wrapping the twine around them as if they were one."

By Chrisjob
The popularity of Christmas village decorama hit the big time during the mid-century modern craze of the post-war United States, but largely, their motifs didn't explore the sharp geometricism of their contemporary era, but harkened back to a more quaint holiday aesthetic of the Dickens era.

How to make glitter and re-ink ornaments.

Amy at Prairie Paper and Ink has created the prettiest ornaments using glitter and stamp pad re-inkers. A very cool thing about these baubles is that the glitter is inside the ball, which means you get all the sparkle without all the pesky glitter dandruff! Amy assures us they're very easy to make too, and you just need a few things to get started.

Holiday Finale: Snow-Stuffed Christmas Ball
By DIY Maven
Okay...just ONE MORE Christmas-y thing before the big day! I was so inspired by madamsewingstick's knitter's Christmas ball, I decided I had to go for the crocheter's version. Of course, if you don't crochet, you could 'stuff' your ball with a small paper snowflake or even one made out of craft foam, but if choosing foam, I might opt to dust it with some fine crystal glitter to make it look not so foamy. Basically, I did what madam said she did » READ MORE
