The most clever use for the martini glass since the cosmo!

Recently at a friend's wedding, they had a mashed potato bar and it was super yummy.  They used a martini glass to serve it up and I thought this was one of the most clever buffet ideas I had seen in a while.  They had the works to the side of the fluffy potato goodness - gravy, sour cream, bacon bits, cheese, chives, and salsa.  I thought this was not only a great idea for a wedding, but for a future dinner party or evening gathering!

Our campus dining services has this as an option for various soirees, it's very convenient at events when your guests may want to continue to mingle and wander through the venue as they eat.

For a less formal event, a bbq actually, we've had a baked potato bar instead of burgers and dogs, it's easier to accomodate a wide variety of individual dietary restrictions.

I was at a swank wedding earlier this summer and they served the same thing as appetizers. It was fantastic! Potatotinis.
