Here's a quick and easy vase idea that really can be made in 5 minutes! I simply wrapped a clear vase with orange cardstock and black swirl diecut cardstock that has been spray mounted together. I think it turned out super cute and it can be made for a pretty centerpiece for a Halloween table.

I know a lot of people are swaying toward the dark side in their Halloween crafting and for a couple of years now, I've been wanting to make bloody white pumpkins, so I finally did!
For the drippy one, I basically used Tulip 3-D paint in Bright Red and squeezed it on in a drippy fashion along the ridges of the pumpkin. I also covered the stem.
For the fang one, I used a construction nail and dug it into the pumpkin in two spots, then squirted the » READ MORE

I occasionally get compliments from my crafty friends about my photos and what I do to make my photos look so good. I guess a lot of it comes very naturally to me, but I think a lot of it is a) experience and b) knowing the tricks of the game to get a good photo. I thought I would share today some tips for how I take my photos (illustrated with photos I take, of course).
First off, before I get started, I want to say that while my photos have impr » READ MORE

So, if you've been seeing my little headbands, you will notice that I had some cute little striped buttons on there. I wish I could find buttons that cute, but in actuality, I had to make my own.
I would offer you a really great tutorial, but there's nothing to it! You simply doodle on buttons with permanent markers. Easy.as.pie.
Now I don't recommend you buying expensive buttons (and if you do, draw at your own risk). I've messed several buttons » READ MORE

Letter and number decopauge jars

Here's a fast and fun decopauge jar idea that looks really cool and graphic. I'm a big sucker for bold letters and numbers. I love large letters for walls and pillows with giant numbers on them. I don't know what it is...I just love the shapes! I guess my fondness for letters and numbers graphically is attributed to being a graphic designer. I love fonts!
To make these jars, you simply need, jars, magazine clipping » READ MORE

I figured out a super easy (and let's just say cheap) way to make my own mini Moo cards from postcards (seen above) that would otherwise be thrown away.
I know you've seen the cute little Moo Cards you can get through Flickr. I just love them so much I got some made a year or so ago and let me just say, they were many a conversation starter! I would show friends or people I just met and each little card I showed them to pick from was like telling » READ MORE

Like
a lot of people, I live in an apartment. The type of apartment complex that doesn't allow painting of any kind. I really try to jazz up the
blah eggshell walls with color, whether it be colorful artwork or
colored lampshades that cast a hue on the wall. Well, I wanted to step
it up a notch with my décor beyond that and do something totally
different with my bedroom wall that would make visitors come in and
say, "Wow! You did that?"

I
wanted to create something special for my nephews and niece for
Valentine's Day now that I'm so far away. I really was struggling with
an idea, but when I went to the beach, the idea popped into my head to
write their names in the sand in a heart. I was going to make cards out
of this, but decided to put them in frames for them to display in their
room. I hope it reminds them that though I'm far away, I still love
them very much an
