Hi all,

 I am a remodeling contractor in Springfield, MO (about 3 hrs. southwest of St. Louis). We do mostly high end kitchens, bathrooms, and room additions.

  In my area there seems to be a lack of new ideas as far as design for housing goes. Most builders in the area flood the market with french country chateau looking monsters. They are nice homes but not what I want/ like.

  My wife and I are in the begining stages of desinging a modern/ sustainable and affordable home for us and our 7 month old son Jackson. I joined here in hopes that I could bounce ides off of fellow modernist whil going through this process. From what I hear its not going to be easy.
