Rain Chain Brazil aka Brasil

My sister told me about rain chains last year and then I traveled to Brazil. I happened to go to this oceanside villa for....an electrical service call (I am an electrician by trade-I didn't charge owner mileage tho). This was at the front door. (Darn beautiful views kept distracting me from my purpose!)

I want to adapt this to my home which I recently bought---a foreclosed neglected 1934 colonial revival cape cod. It is not on an ocean but near a lake. About the only think it has in common w/ this beautiful villa. :)

I just saw the photo now and decided to post it. Even tho it is winter now and I am in the north US, which is typically below freezing and snow, I could use a rain chain today. Global warming?
