I like this rain chain. Going to use it in my own remodel. Tho have to adapt it from brazilian oceanside villa to colonial revival cape cod neglected foreclosed beauty lakeside....Wow..What a contrast! :)

DIning Room

I was suppose to be concentrating on stuff like this. Owners concern was the high electrical bill. One reason was small diameter wire commonly used in Brazil, including new construction. Also, I saw many "free air" splices, not joined in an electrical box in wall but just dangling in air w/ wire nuts and/or electrical tape. Higher resistance to electrical flow=more wasted energy, in simple language.

See.......I was distracted by beautiful views.

I went to a service call here...electrical. :) Long story but met owner via internet before I traveled to Brazil, a travel agent from Norway. I didn't get any wide exterior shots because I was so distracted by beautiful ocean views and inspecting the whole house. Probably most interesting service call location I'll ever make!

I like this kitchen furniture unit, sink base. Is a new reproduction bought in a small inland village in Brasil. This whole villa house was under construction....Notice the use of thin white rough but celicate looking stone, layed horizontally on back wall as wainscoting. Much of brazilian furniture was made from thick, stout, chunky wood.
