Description:

Our media center where we've got the tv, the record player, and the dvd/dvr/tuner thingie. We got that piece of furniture it's all sitting on at Ikea. Four of those drawers are stuffed with yarn stash. The rest contain dvds and other assorted things. We were ahead of our time by getting the low-slung media set up. Or I could say we were old fashioned, since we wanted a mid-century feel. Anyway, now all we need is one of those flat TVs. The records are illustrated by Jim Flora and one of our Shag prints can be seen on the far left.

The "media center" is exactly what I've been looking for!

Yes, it's a Nyanko Strawberry Shortcake or something or other. My husband thought it was a hamburger until I pointed out that no hamburger has strawberries on it. Those drawers and the cabinet are from Ikea. Thank God for Ikea or I'd still be living with milk crates and cinderblocks.
